Left the Job and Lost the Election - Dr. Sushil Marandi

We all know that in our India, in order to contest the elections, we need to be not joined with any governmental office and need not have any outer income, other than the politics.

Dr. Sushil Marandi, knowing this was contesting the elections from legislative area of Jama. To contest the election, Dr. Sushil Marandi had resigned from the health department. But now, due to the resignation he is not going to get any aid for his expenditure and livelihood. He faced a loss around Rs. 15,00,000. He was a suspect for the MSD scandal. He had been suspended from the department from 2005 itself. So, to contest the elections, he requested the government to let him resign from the job and discharge from the office, because the government could not give him the VRS. The health department announced that Dr. Marandi had requested to accept his resignation and to be discharged by submitting his nomination with effect from October 31, 2009. But the sad thing is that he lost the elections also and now, he suffers big loss.
