Rajendra Prasad was the first President of India. Rajendra Prasad was born in the village of Zeradei in Saran District of Bihar. Following are some more details related to Rajendra Prasad -

The mother of Rajendra Prasad was Kamleshwari Devi who was a house wife and a religious woman too. He used to do the basic household chores of the house of Rajendra Prasad. The father of Rajendra Prasad, Mr. Mahadev Sahay was a scholar of Persian language and Sanskrit language.

At the age of 12 years, Rajendra Prasad was married with a girl called Rajvanshi Devi. In the family of Rajendra Prasad, there was his brother Mahendra Prasad also.

The basic education of Rajendra Prasad was done by a maulavi, a persian scholar so as to teach Rajendra Prasad the persian language and after that, Dr. Rajendra Prasad also learned other languages like Hindi and English. After studying under the Maulavi, Rajendra Prasad also studied at Chappra District School which was situtated in the headquarters of Saran District, viz., Chappra, in Bihar.

The further education of Rajendra Prasad was done at big head institutions like University of Calcutta and Presidency College.
