How to prepare Litti Chokha Recipe?


One of the most important delicacy of Bihar Cuisine. It is called Litti Chokha and it is very famous in south india also. I am here to tell you how to make Litti chokha.

As we know that litti chokha has very great value in the cuisine of Bihar. It is the most famous item of Bihari cuisine. This is a delicacy which is liked by every group of people whether rich or poor.

So now without wasting a single moment let's see how to prepare litti chokha

How to prepare Litti


Ingredients of Litti


Atta - 250gm
Maida - 50gm
Salt - 1/2tsp
Water to mix

For Filling -
Sattu - 200gm
Ajwain - 5gm
Mangraila - 5gm
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Lemon Juice - 2 tsp
Green Chillies - 1/2 tsp finely chopped
Ginger - 1tsp finely chopped
Garlic - 1tsp finely chopped
Onion - 50 gm finely chopped

Method of making Litti


Take Atta & Maida, mix salt to it and knead a soft dough. Keep it aside. Now in a container mix all the ingredients of filling coarsely. Now make small even sized balls from the dough. Fill the filling in the centre of the balls
Close the fillings and give a round ball like shape. Now bake this balls in tandoor or on goytha (cow dung cakes) fire.

How to prepare Chokha


Ingredients of Chokha


Round Bringal - 500gm
Tomato - 250gm
Potato - 2 medium sized
Green chilles - 1/2 tsp finely chopped
Corriander leaves - 50gm finely chopped
Salt - 1tsp
Garlic - 1tsp finelly shredded
Ginger - 1tsp finelly shredded

Method to make Chokha


Bake bringal, tomato & potato. Then peel and mash them together and add salt, green chillies, garlic, ginger and corriander leaves and then mix thourughly.

Serve with litti. Litti must be served completely dipped pure deshi ghee.
Corriander leaves chutney can also go as an accompaniment to it.
