Rabri Devi not Lalu Prasad to contest Bihar Assembly Elections 2010

RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is currently a Member of Parliament (MP) in the 15th Lok Sabha from the Saran constituency in Bihar, will not be contesting the Bihar Assembly Polls. However, Lalu Prasad's wife and ex-Chief Minister Rabri Devi will definitely contest from 2 seats: Sonepur and Raghopur.

With a lot of fanfare, Rabri Devi today filed her nomination papers from the two constituencies of Raghopur (in Vaishali) and Sonepur (in Saran). Rabri Devi is currently the RJD MLA from Raghopur assembly seat and it is expected that she will win in the 2010 Bihar Assembly Elections too.

At the Hajipur District Collectorate Office premises, Rabri Devi was naturally accompanied by Lalu Prasad and their son Tejaswi Yadav, a cricket player. From Hajipur, Rabri Devi and her family, along with slogan-shouting supporters, proceeded to Sonepur to file her nomination papers there too.
