From 1997 to 2005

Rabri Devi, as mentioned above, was the first woman Chief Minister of Bihar. Rabri Devi was considered as the unexpected and most corrupted Chief Minister of Bihar due to her dicisions and rulling pattern in Bihar as the Chief Minister of Bihar. Rabri devi was born in Gopalganj Bihar on 1959. Rabri Devi was married to Lalu Prasad Yadav in 1973. On 25 July 1997, Rabri Devi had got a chance to become the first Chief Minister of Bihar in woman category at the time when Lalu Prasad Yadav had to quit the post of Cheif Minister of Bihar after the Fodder Scam(alleged embezzlement of about US$206.15 million).

Her Cheif Ministerial term was ended on 2005 Bihar Assembly Election when Nitish Kumar led NDA Alliance came into Power in Bihar. In 2010 Bihar Assembly Elections, RJD and LJP Alliance won only 25 assembly seats. Even Rabri Devi lost both the Raghopur and Sonpur assembly seats in Bihar Assembly Elections 2010
