The Right to Public Services (RTPS) act started in Bihar form 15th August 2011. However, now you can avail Online Right to public services in Bihar. All the services available under RTPS act in Bihar are now made online at this point of time. But soon all the services under Right to Public services act will be made online. Since most of the applications are filed for caste, income and domicile certificates, these services are made online first. Yes you can file online application for caste, income, domicile certificates

Services under Right to Public Services Act in Bihar


Now anybody can avail the services under Right to Public Services Act online from December 1st 2011. Some of the services under Right to Public Service act are that you can apply for :
  • Caste/income/domicile certificate
  • Ration card
  • Social Security/ Pension scheme
  • Land registration and related services
  • Driving license
  • Scholarship
  • salary certificates,
  • mutation papers
  • transport papers and
  • character certificates.

    Advantages of online Right to Public Services (RTPS) Act in Bihar


  • All citizens of Bihar can to submit applications for caste, income and domicile certificates over the internet.
  • People living in remote locations will not have to cover long distance to submit their applications.
  • The service for all the applications has to be completed in given time frame.
  • If the work in not done in given time frame then the officers responsible will have to pay a fine up to Rs.5, 000.

    • Bihar is the first state in the country to put into place a well-laid arrangement using its own specially made software for providing timely public services. Bihar RTPS Act covers 10 departments covering 50 services.

    Respected Sir,
    With due respect I want to say that I made my caste certificate on dated 28.11.2011 ,Income certificate on dated 19.11.2011,& Residential Certificate on dated 28.11.2011 through C.O. katihar.
    Sir,Please clearify me about the validity of above mentioned certificates.wating for your warmful response.

    With regards I wnat to say that I want to say that when I was applying online for a residential certificate option showing in the district is not mention there as we want a residential certificate of jehanabad.Now Jehanabad itself a district.It will be a great help for me in this regard that what should I do?whether I should apply directly or apply online.If I have to apply directly where I have to apply & in how many days I'll get the residential certificate as it urgent.waiting for your reply.

    R/Sir i have applied for recendital certificate and when i want to prin the receipt copy from computer with search option, no any responce found/shown in desktop.
    So, sir please guide or suggest or ammend system for further receiving of receipt copy to every one each in future. thanks for your great heldp.
