You might not have head the name of Trinidad and Tobago PM name before today, but let me assure you once Kamla Persad-Bissessar the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago visits Bihar on 11th of January 2012, you will never forget her name. Kamla Persad-Bissessar is one of those Indians or rather say Biharis whose ancestors migrated from Bihar to the Caribbean islands in the 19th century. Her ancestors migrated as Girmitiya labourers to Trinidad and Tobago, which was a British colony at that time. Her great-grandfather Ram Lakhan Mishra had left Bhelupur village in 1889.

Kamla Persad-Bissessar is the first woman prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago and she will be coming to Bihar's Bhelupur village on 11th of January 2012 to trace her roots.
In her ancestral village in Bihar, preparations are in full swing and there is a environment of festival. Villagers have even started repairing the roads by offering voluntary labour. Arrangements have been made to provide 24 hour electricity supply to the village during her visit. Security has also been tightened by district police.

This is not the first time that any foreign prime minister is visiting Bihar. Four years ago, Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam had visited his ancestral village in Bhojpur district of Bihar.
