This National level football tournament which will be launched in patna on Jnauary 17th would constitute a part of the build-up to the actual centenary celebrations of the state. A total of 16 teams from all over India will contest for the cup and Rs 1 lakh prize money for winners. The runners up will get Rs 50,000 and other two semifinalists will get Rs 25,000 each. The teams taking part in All India Football Tournament for Bihar Cup would play out 13 games at the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium and three games either at the BMP ground or Mithilesh Stadium.

Government has announced Rs 10 lakh to the organizers of the football tournament. The organizers of National level football tournament in Patna are Pataliputra Art Culture and Sports Foundation (PACSF). This tournament would be held every year to revive the game in Bihar.
